Masino Production Facilities - New Build and Refurbishment
Masino, a provider of technical trade, industrial maintenance services, and fastening and support solutions for the construction and industrial sectors, invested in new production facilities in Tuupakka, Vantaa. The new 4,000 m² building includes office space, warehousing, machining facilities and maintenance workshops.
At the same time, the existing commercial premises and retail space adjacent to the new building underwent a comprehensive refurbishment.
Varte Oy served as the main contractor for the project, while Terawatt was responsible for the electrical contracting under a design-and-build (D&B) contract. Based on the system specifications provided, Terawatt developed the electrical implementation plans and optimised the number of electrical distribution boards, resulting in cost savings without compromising functionality.
Terawatt’s scope of work included the complete electrical installation, as well as the access control and fire alarm systems.
Despite some initial challenges, the project progressed successfully. Terawatt’s installation team received particular recognition for the quality of its work, and the refurbishment phase was completed efficiently despite the additional coordination typically required in renovation projects.
According to Varte’s Site Manager, the project was an outstanding success from Terawatt’s perspective and an excellent example of effective collaboration between experienced project teams.
