Terawatt delivered the EV charging infrastructure for Apollo Business Park’s parking garage in Vantaa under a design-and-build (D&B) contract.

The parking company’s board recognised the growing demand for electric vehicle charging, while the existing electrical system was no longer sufficient to support future requirements. By upgrading the property’s electrical distribution system, the parking company ensured that additional EV charging stations can be installed easily and cost-effectively as demand grows.

The project involved a comprehensive upgrade of the parking garage’s electrical distribution system, including an increase in the property’s electrical service capacity. Terawatt installed new high-capacity service cables from the grid connection point and commissioned a new 1,000 A main switchboard. The existing main switchboard was converted into a sub-distribution board, and two additional distribution boards were installed to support the EV charging infrastructure.

The project also included EV charging readiness for all 249 parking spaces, while 20 spaces were equipped with 11 kW EV charging stations.
